I made this style of sock for versatility. A wide ‘hung hem’ top of the sock can be worn straight up or with the hem folded for an ankle sock. They make excellent book socks unfolded and excellent ‘sneaker’ socks folded down for a shorter ankle sock. I use odd ends of merino nylon sock yarns to make these socks.
Machine washable. I encourage hand wash for a longer life.
Mendable. I will happily send additional yarn for hand mending - recognising all things decay with time and wear and end up as waste.
